Clutch is an iOS app developed by Ernist Isabekov. We help users extract tasks from screenshots using AI. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use Clutch.

2. What Information We Collect

Information you provide

• Screenshots you choose to process within the app (sent to AI for task extraction, not stored)
• Feedback or support requests you submit to us

Information collected automatically

• Device type and operating system version
• App version and usage statistics (number of extractions, features used)
• Crash reports to help us fix bugs
• Purchase and subscription status (handled securely by Apple)

What we do NOT collect

• Your name, email, or any personal account information (no login required)
• Your location (unless you set a location-based reminder — this stays on your device)
• Screenshots or images after they are processed
• Browsing history or activity outside of Clutch
• Contacts or call logs

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Process your screenshots through AI to extract tasks
• Manage your subscription and in-app purchases via Apple
• Improve app performance and fix bugs using crash reports
• Respond to your support requests
• Understand how users interact with the app so we can improve it

4. How Screenshots Are Processed

When you extract tasks, your screenshot is sent to a third-party AI service for analysis. Here is exactly what happens:

• The screenshot is sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection
• The AI processes the image and returns extracted tasks as text
• The screenshot is not stored or saved by the AI provider after processing
• The extracted tasks are saved locally on your device only

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

AI Processing

We use AI APIs to process screenshots and extract tasks. The AI provider receives your screenshot temporarily for processing only. Their usage is governed by their own privacy policy.

Apple App Store

All purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple. Apple collects and manages payment information. We never see your payment details. Apple's privacy policy applies to all transactions.

Apple Services

Clutch integrates with Apple Reminders using on-device APIs. Your reminder data stays within Apple's ecosystem and on your device.

6. Data Storage and Security

• Your extracted tasks are stored locally on your device only
• Subscription limits are tracked using your device's Keychain (secure, encrypted storage)
• All data sent to AI services uses HTTPS encryption
• We do not operate any database or server that stores your personal data
• Purchase history is managed entirely by Apple

7. Data Retention

Since we do not store your data on our servers, there is no data to retain or delete on our end. Your tasks and screenshots exist only on your device. If you delete the app, all local data is removed.

8. Your Rights

You have full control over your data:

• Access: All your data is on your device — you can view it anytime in the app
• Delete: Delete all tasks and data by removing the app from your device
• Portability: Export your tasks to CSV, Todoist, or Notion at any time
• Subscription: Cancel or manage your subscription through Apple Settings

9. Children's Privacy

Clutch is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us at support@clutch.app so we can delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through an app update. The updated policy will always be available on this page. Continued use of Clutch after changes means you accept the updated policy.
